Data Architect Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to join our team in Perth, Australia. As a Data Architect at our company, you will design, build, and implement scalable data solutions that drive significant business value.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the strengths and weaknesses of data engineering options to technical and senior stakeholders
  • Develop and operate scalable data architecture solutions on-premises or in the cloud, supporting the entire data asset lifecycle
  • Collaborate with junior team members to ensure focus and structure
  • Design data flow diagrams for pipelines and consumption using tools like Databricks, Spark, Azure ADF, SSIS, AWS Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, PowerBI, or Tableau

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with data pipeline development using technologies like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS Kinesis, Spark, Airflow
  • Proficiency in transforming large, complex data sets from source to target platforms, with experience in Azure and AWS solutions
  • Experience with modern development practices, including code repositories, reviews, and testing frameworks
  • Innovative data management skills, leadership, and excellent communication abilities
