Join Our Team as a GP VMO in Rural Victoria

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner VMO to join our team in Cohuna, a picturesque rural town in northern Victoria. Our medical centre has been a cornerstone of the community since 1940, providing high-quality healthcare services to over 2,500 residents and a surrounding catchment area of 10,000 individuals.

As a GP VMO, you will have the opportunity to practice alongside our esteemed Medical Coordinator/GP Obstetrician, recognized for service excellence. Our facility boasts a team of four consulting General Practitioners, full-time nursing support, and an efficient practice management team on site.

Ochre Health is one of Australia's leading General Practice organisations, supporting over 450 doctors, including 90 registrars. We are committed to preserving general and procedural medical services in regional Victoria through our partnership with the Cohuna District Hospital.

The Opportunity

As a GP VMO, you will have the opportunity to establish an independent practice in a rural community. Our medical centre offers a range of benefits, including:

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • AHPRA General Registration or FRACGP/FACRRM
  • Previous general practice experience
  • ALS2 and previous Emergency Department (ED) experience
