About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Wurli Wurlijang as a Registered Nurse. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the effective management of patient care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, including participating in patient care conferences and managing patient follow-up procedures.
- Use patient information systems to identify care needs and document patient consultations in patient medical files.
- Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals with communication, treatment, and advice relevant to patient care.
- Provide high-quality emergency care, working independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Encourage clients, families, and communities to engage in practices that promote optimal health.
Requirements
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- More than five years of experience in clinical nursing practice.
- Current National Police Certificate.
- Current Northern Territory Driver's Licence.
- Current Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card).

About the Location
Katherine is a well-equipped regional town with a shopping centre featuring a supermarket and many specialty shops. The town has a population of around 11,000, with 60% identifying as Indigenous. The region is home to Kakadu National Park, which offers stunning waterfalls, bush walks, and ancient cultures.
