Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on problem solver to maintain and improve equipment, test systems, and tooling in our manufacturing team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in electronics technology and a strong understanding of electronic assembly, test equipment, and diagnostics.

They should also be familiar with test automation tools and CAD software for jig and fixture design.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical support to production teams to resolve equipment, process, and test-related issues.
  2. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
  3. Assist in implementing new manufacturing processes and equipment for product introductions and process changes.
  4. Assemble and maintain functional and diagnostic test sets for electronic components and assemblies.
  5. Ensure test systems align with product specifications and manufacturing needs by collaborating closely with engineering teams during the design process.
  6. Maintain detailed documentation and perform periodic calibration and compliance checks on test systems.
  7. Design and fabricate assembly jigs, fixtures, and process aids to enhance efficiency, consistency, and ergonomics.
  8. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing staff to refine tools based on operator feedback and performance data.
  9. Ensure tooling meets safety, quality, and process engineering standards.
  10. Support manufacturing readiness for new product launches, including setup of tooling, test sets, and production documentation.
  11. Liaise with engineering teams during product development to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness through effective DFM practices.
  12. Provide feedback during design reviews to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production.
  13. Analyze production workflows and identify areas for improvement using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  14. Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as root cause analysis, value stream mapping, and Kaizen projects.
  15. Assist in the documentation and standardization of work procedures, setup sheets, and maintenance logs.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Electronics Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or test system support roles.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production, quality, and design teams.
