Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced kitchen professional to join our team as a Food Preparation Assistant.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This is a part-time position with a minimum of 20 hours per week. The successful applicant will be required to work a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

About the Role

As a Food Preparation Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to a high standard, maintaining stock levels and working closely with other members of the team to ensure excellent customer service.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

- Preparing and cooking food to order using commercial grade knives and equipment
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Managing stock levels and reporting any discrepancies to management
- Working collaboratively with other team members to achieve business objectives

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role
- Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Availability to work a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends and public holidays
