About the Role

The Principal Reward will lead and provide support for global, regional and local Reward initiatives to the Minerals Australia Assets.

This role is primarily responsible for local engagement with the business, provision of specialist and technical reward advice, and support for deployment of all relevant regional and global strategic reward initiatives, with consideration of the local regional context.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a strategic partner to HR and leaders, and provide deep functional remuneration and benefits expertise to add value to the business, including the governance and deployment of the global and local remuneration frameworks, policies and procedures.
  2. Contribute to the strategic design and implementation of global remuneration policy, recognition programs and frameworks, with regional and business input.
  3. Provide technical and specialist reward advice on application of remuneration philosophy and frameworks, understanding impacts of reward decisions (including legacy arrangements), consistent application of flexible work arrangements and other I&D initiatives, other ad-hoc remuneration components including the application of reward in industrial agreements, and strategic application of reward in consultation with other HR sub-functions.
  4. Support the development of reward capability in the business and HR (including GBS), via coaching and partnering (diagnose, coach, consult) to ensure reward implementation and execution is accurate and fit for purpose.
  5. Proactively seek an understanding of the relevant external salary market landscape, forecasts and movements and interpret the information for internal stakeholders.
  6. Support Employee Relations team with the remuneration elements in the development and implementation of industrial agreements, as well as the maintenance of remuneration terms in existing industrial agreements and relevant industry awards.
  7. Provide specialist advice & support to Reward Operations in key remuneration activities, including job grading, reward and benefits administration, annual reward review processes, gender pay analysis, external reporting, executive remuneration proposals and payments, union agreement support, enquiry management, etc.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in remuneration and benefits, who can provide strategic advice and support to the business.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent education or experience, and extensive technical experience in remuneration and benefit programs, as well as strong people management skills.

They will also have excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong analytical skills, with proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
