**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team at Maven Dental. As a key member of our front desk team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

**Responsibilities**

  • Assist dentists and dental hygienists during dental procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for patients.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Provide chairside assistance, including passing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient comfort.
  • Manage patient records and update electronic medical records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, and answer phone calls, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate and manage patient flow in the reception area, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Assist with billing and insurance claims processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

**Requirements**

  • Previous experience in a dental practice or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dentists, and other team members.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and dental software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy, with a strong understanding of data protection and security.
  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, with the willingness to transition into a permanent role.
