Child and Family Therapeutic Specialist

The Therapeutic Child and Family Advocate provides specialist therapeutic intervention for children, young people and their families affected by trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist therapeutic interventions tailored to the developmental needs of children to support their emotional well-being.
- Apply a range of evidence-based interventions to support the emotional understanding and regulation of children.
- Plan and facilitate group programs and workshops aligned to identified needs and service priorities.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling with knowledge of evidence-based practices.
- Demonstrated experience working with therapeutic models of practice.
- Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practice as it relates to child development and adverse childhood experiences.
