">Our Australian Munitions teams produce propellants, explosives, and munitions for defense and commercial use. Supported by ongoing research and development investment, we manufacture high-performance guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems.
">The Explosive Range Manager oversees testing, evaluation, and development of explosive products and ballistic systems to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards at our Mulwala site, located on Yorta Yorta land.
">This role involves supervising and training Technical Officers, Shot Firers, and Technical Assistants, reviewing reports for accuracy before release.
">Your responsibilities will include:
">- ">
- Performing technical work requiring routine and non-routine chemical and instrumental analysis.">
- Supervising, training, and assisting team members in analytical procedures on propellants, ballistics, cast composite, and high explosives.">
- Training and mentoring team members involved in test & trial site activities.">
- Implementing Quality Control techniques.">
- Ensuring compliance with safe working practices and maintenance operations within the work area.">
- Functioning as an ISO/IEC 17025 signatory where applicable.">
- Undertaking duties as a Clearance Officer for the area of responsibility.">
On your first day, you'll be expected to bring the following skills, experience, and behaviors:

- A degree qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.">
- Certified Workplace Trainer & Assessor (desirable).">
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory calibrations, standardization procedures, and quality control techniques.">
- Explosive Licence (Unsupervised Handling) & Shotfirer certification (desirable).">
- Availability to work site-based.">
