Job Description

We are seeking an experienced technician to join our team at the Ichthys LNG facility in Darwin. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for executing electrical and instrumentation maintenance on the Onshore LNG processing facility.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical trade with particular focus on high voltage (HV) and be a senior authorised electrical person (SAEP). They will also possess extensive experience as an instrument and electrical maintainer in an operational environment.

You will work closely with the maintenance team lead to execute planned, unplanned, and corrective maintenance activities. This will include shutdown and campaign maintenance preparation and execution, as well as accurately reporting maintenance information in SAP as per WMS procedures.

As a technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of complex systems, including integrated controls safety systems (ICSS), turbine control systems, PLCs, HV electrical generation and switching, vibration monitoring systems, general instrumentation, UPS – uninterruptable power supplies, electrical switchboards and distribution, and hydraulic control systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing electrical and instrumentation maintenance on the Onshore LNG processing facility
  • Working closely with the maintenance team lead to execute planned, unplanned, and corrective maintenance activities
  • Accurately reporting maintenance information in SAP as per WMS procedures
  • Providing technical support to ensure the smooth operation of the facility

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in electrical trade with particular focus on high voltage (HV)
  • Senior authorised electrical person (SAEP) certification
  • Extensive experience as an instrument and electrical maintainer in an operational environment
