Senior Network Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Safety Lead to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing network safety activities and tactical asset management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Enforce Safety Policies: Create and implement policies and strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and effective asset management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strong relationships with the Essential Services Commission (ESV) and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Lead the development of solutions to complex technical problems.
- Process Improvement: Manage process improvements and new practice methods.
- Safety Documentation: Ensure timely updates and compliance with safety documentation and internal reporting.
- Mentorship: Mentor and support less experienced engineers.
- Risk Mitigation: Implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Task Completion and Compliance: Timely completion of tasks and compliance with safety regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effective stakeholder engagement and improved relationships with regulators.
- Safety Documentation and Reporting: Up-to-date safety documentation and accurate reporting of safety metrics.
- Strategic Business Goals: Successful support of network safety management and achievement of strategic business plans.
- Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Post Graduate Qualifications: Post Graduate qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Risk Mitigation, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Over 10 years of experience in engineering within the Utilities industry.
- Risk Mitigation and Asset Management: Strong background in risk mitigation and asset management.
- Stakeholder Management: Extensive experience in stakeholder management, with prior dealings with regulators desirable.
- Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety issues related to Distribution and/or Transmission assets.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of technical and economic regulations governing electrical networks.
- Legal Background: Legal background is highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to ask insightful questions and solve complex problems.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with effective negotiation and facilitation abilities.
- Process Improvement: Capability to simplify complex information and continuously improve processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Professional Registration: Registered as a Professional Electrical Engineer in Victoria.
