Job Title: Packhouse Forklift Driver

Mulgowie Farming Company is a leading horticultural business in Australia, specializing in the growing, packing, and marketing of fresh produce for domestic and export markets.

Job Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced forklift driver to work in our Packhouses located at Bowen, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and machinery in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring all company procedures and policies are maintained and followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures, policies, and documentation.
  • Operate forklifts and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Complete pre-start checklists, logbooks, and key registers before operation.
  • Maintain strict product temperature control and accurately maintain documentation and records.
  • Support the Manager in building a cohesive team that reflects Mulgowie Farming Company's values.
  • Report any maintenance requirements to the appropriate person.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures regarding despatch operations to ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility Laws.
  • Ensure compliance process and procedure are followed for the movement of organic product or product for export.
  • Ensure the work area and equipment are safe and safe work practices are followed at all times.
  • Ensure all forklifts are checked, maintained, and preventative maintenance completed and driven correctly by licensed operators.
  • Take note of performance feedback and act accordingly.
  • Have a willingness to support other areas of the business/team when required.
  • Perform all other reasonable duties as directed by Management expected of someone within this position.
Requirements
  • Open to applicants in Australia with valid working rights.
  • Current Australian Forklift Licence.
  • High level forklift operation experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Superior organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
