About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rewarding and challenging environment as a Patient Transport Officer. You will be responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently, while providing high-quality patient care.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and provide appropriate interventions on-road.
- Develop positive relationships with patients and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of RFDS policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Transport Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing patient care during transport.
- Conducting patient assessments and developing care plans.
- Working collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Cert III in Non-Emergency Patient Care or Diploma of Nursing (or equivalent).
- Experience in patient transport or a related field (desired but not essential).
- Full Victorian Driver's Licence and ability to drive in diverse traffic conditions.
- Availability for shifts across a 7-day roster.
