
Healthcare Administrative Support

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our medical practice as a casual receptionist.
This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a flexible work arrangement and can commit to working autonomously with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, and have prior experience in a medical admin environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient service and ensure that all patients feel welcome and supported throughout their visit;
- Greet patients, check them in, and handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing patient records;
- Process payments and manage cash handling duties;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and treatment plans;
- Manage appointment scheduling and reminders;
- Perform other related tasks as required.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Health Services Management preferred but not essential;
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical administration role, preferably in a GP practice or hospital setting;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information; and
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with medical software systems (training will be provided if necessary).
