Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with substantial expertise in the infrastructure and resources sectors to manage and contribute to design and implementation projects across various regions.

The successful candidate will have experience in cross-functional team collaboration, including both conceptual and detailed design, construction support, and design management. This position requires a proactive approach to identify new opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, prioritize multiple projects, and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude with colleagues and stakeholders is essential.
Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, this role encompasses a stimulating blend of design and engineering coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in engineering initiatives, including concept development, feasibility studies, design, construction support, and commissioning related to electrical systems.
- Prepare electrical designs for low and medium voltage power systems, including technical drawings and electrical calculations.
- Develop comprehensive engineering documentation, including design reports, scopes of work, equipment schedules, and drawing registers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external project teams, ensuring effective coordination throughout the design process.
- Interface with clients and suppliers to guarantee compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.
- Participate in the tendering process by preparing bid documents and developing engineering hour estimates.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, sharing best practices and industry insights to foster professional growth within the team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive professional experience in electrical engineering within consultancy, utility, mining, or resource sectors.
- Proficiency in power system analysis and protection studies using electrical software tools.
- Prior experience with power distribution systems and equipment specifications.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, both Australian and international.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Defense security clearance is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Applicants must currently reside in Australia and hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship.
