Property Transactions Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled property transactions lawyer to join our internal legal team.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and assisting with contracts of sale for both businesses and land. This includes attending to large property transactions, including due diligence and option agreements. The lawyer will also prepare and review leases, licence agreements, franchising agreements, fuel supply agreements and ensure compliance with disclosure obligations related to franchising and retail leases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing and assisting with contracts of sale for businesses and land
  • Attending to large property transactions, including due diligence and option agreements
  • Preparing and reviewing leases, licence agreements, franchising agreements
  • Reviewing and advising on fuel supply agreements
  • Satisfying disclosure obligations related to franchising and retail leases

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years experience across a range of property transactions (ideally some experience with franchising)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
