Delicatessen Manager Role

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced retail professional to take on a leadership position in our deli department.

About The Job

The Delicatessen Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the deli department, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

  • Lead a team of sales assistants to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee stock management, rotation routines, waste control, and quality assurance to maintain excellent department standards.
  • Develop and implement processes to simplify operations, adhere to audit, food safety, and compliance standards, and drive a positive team culture.
  • Deliver outstanding shopping experiences for customers through excellent communication skills, product knowledge, and visual merchandising techniques.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting.
  • Direct/indirect leadership experience, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop teams to meet sales targets and cost-control requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience.
