Job Details

This role entails filling current vacancies and creating a merit list for future ongoing or non-ongoing positions arising over the next year.

The position involves policing throughout Australia in relation to crime prevention, detection, and community services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support in electronic surveillance analysis as directed by team leaders, senior analysts, and operations teams, aligning with agency priorities.
  • Maintain advanced expertise in analytical methodologies such as discovery analysis, statistical analysis, anomaly analysis, and trend analysis to address specific investigative requirements or intelligence gaps.
  • Demonstrate extensive technical knowledge, applied tradecraft, and professional decision making in relevant domains to deliver problem-focused solutions in response to operational demands.
Requirements
  • You must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
  • A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • To have completed the Electronic Surveillance Analyst Foundations course or the ability to attain it within six months of commencement.
Working Conditions

The position attracts a composite allowance for expanded working hours, normal attendance patterns, and shift requirements under the Operations working pattern. In accordance with the AFP Enterprise Agreement, employees required to work under this pattern will receive a Core Composite of 22% in addition to their base salary, counting towards superannuation.

Domestic travel may be required for this role based on agency business needs.
