The Role

We seek an experienced Metal Fabricator for full-time employment. Responsibilities include fabricating, installing, maintaining, and repairing major and minor fixed plant equipment, such as chutes, pipework, and steelwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precision and quality.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures, components, and equipment according to specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fixed plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform welding, cutting, and brazing tasks to high-quality standards.
  • Inspect and test completed works to ensure safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and departmental staff to coordinate schedules and prioritize tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Proven skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with confined space working, working at heights, and elevated work platforms is highly regarded.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety protocols and procedures.
