Responsibilities
  • Assist with the delivery of health care to inmates under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Care is delivered within the Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice.
  • Provide primary care based on a patient-centred model, allowing patients to participate in their health management actively.
  • Work closely with correctional staff to deliver holistic and integrated patient-centred health services that promote rehabilitation and reintegration, ensure safety and security, and foster a high standard of practice.
Qualifications
  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum of 1-year full-time post-graduate experience (or part-time equivalent).
  • Experience in primary health, rural health, or emergency nursing (desirable).
