Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Case Manager to join our team in Brisbane. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the high-volume management of workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely and efficient case management to facilitate a safe and durable return to work experience for our injured employees.

The Role

  • Effective management of all Workers Compensation Claims
  • Early intervention to ensure the case management plan meets the needs of relevant parties while monitoring costs
  • Managing WC rehabilitation and case management with emphasis on early intervention and return to work
  • Accident/incident investigations and risk assessments in a timely, impartial, and outcome-focused manner
  • Assistance with weekly payments, insurer wage reimbursements, and monthly reconciliation
  • Determining cover according to relevant legislation and case law by obtaining information from staff members, healthcare providers, and supervisors
  • Leadership of the WC function, managing insurances and costs, and providing effective case management
  • Taking responsibility for national WC and rehabilitation management, providing first point contact for premium information requests
  • Support and advice on Workers Compensation matters, the Affinity Safety Alert System, and the Return-to-Work Process
  • Collaboration with managers on return to work, rehabilitation initiatives, reasonable adjustments, injury prevention, and safe return to work after workplace injuries

Key Requirements

  • Workplace Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in similar Case Management roles
  • Proven ability to lead workers' compensation claims management
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of workers' compensation legislations, processes, and common law claims management
  • Ability to prioritize competing workloads and priorities
  • Positive and friendly demeanor with a strong customer service focus
  • High attention to detail and adaptability
