About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Yugumbir Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service in Regents Park. As an Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Service Coordinator with the development and implementation of quality programs for children aged 5-12 years.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of programs, ensuring compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Support the Coordinator with staff management, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including documentation and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with families and the school community to provide a safe and supportive environment for children.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching (minimum Diploma in Children Services).
  • Experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with families and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
