Overview

The Latymer - a premier fine dining experience.

As a key member of our wine team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine service in the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all areas are properly stocked and set up ready for service.
  • Deliver an effective wine and beverage service at all times.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the wine list to assist guests with their choices and make recommendations when necessary.
  • Be aware of all bookings and any special guest requirements.
  • Contribute to wine tasting sessions as required by the team.
  • Resolve any guest queries relating to wine and drink service.
  • Maintain and clean all wine service equipment.
  • Support the Head Sommelier in carrying out wine training as required by front-of-house team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Full knowledge of menus, recipes, and all beverage offerings in the Latymer restaurant.
  • Basic understanding of cost control.
  • Awareness and adherence to company procedures relating to beverage SOPs.
  • Previous experience as a sommelier/waiter in a fine dining restaurant is desirable.
  • A WSET qualification is an asset.
