Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Aged Care Support Specialist to join our team in Dandenong, VIC. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality support and care to our elderly customers in their own homes.

Your day will involve:

  • Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for our customers;
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers' nutritional needs are met;
  • Offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting social interaction and engagement;
  • Delivering personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, as well as assisting with mobility and therapy goals;
  • Providing respite and emotional support, offering a listening ear and a helping hand when needed;
  • Transporting customers to appointments, ensuring they receive necessary medical attention;
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, requiring specialized support and attention.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care;
  • A strong desire to assist our aged community, prioritizing their needs and well-being;
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is an essential aspect of this role;
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing the needs of our customers;
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend shifts.
