About the RoleViterra is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our growing team in a permanent part-time capacity. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the pay run for approximately 700 permanent employees.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and process data for payrolls in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and employee files.
- Ensure compliance with regulations related to payroll and taxes.
- Handle all payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Undertake month-end and finance-related payroll activities, reporting, and analyses.
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure all employee information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Demonstrated payroll experience in a medium to large organization, including interpretation of Award and Enterprise Agreements and knowledge of remuneration, wages, and conditions.
- CHRIS 21, SAP, and Kronos experience desirable.
- Qualifications and/or demonstrated administrative skills and experience.
- Substantial experience using Microsoft Office suite, including expertise in Excel.
- End of month/year processing experience.
- Sound knowledge of technology to support business and delivery of role.
- An accounting or finance degree-level qualification is preferred but not essential.
