About the Role

Viterra is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our growing team in a permanent part-time capacity. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the pay run for approximately 700 permanent employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and process data for payrolls in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and employee files.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations related to payroll and taxes.
  • Handle all payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Undertake month-end and finance-related payroll activities, reporting, and analyses.
  • Work closely with the HR team to ensure all employee information is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated payroll experience in a medium to large organization, including interpretation of Award and Enterprise Agreements and knowledge of remuneration, wages, and conditions.
  • CHRIS 21, SAP, and Kronos experience desirable.
  • Qualifications and/or demonstrated administrative skills and experience.
  • Substantial experience using Microsoft Office suite, including expertise in Excel.
  • End of month/year processing experience.
  • Sound knowledge of technology to support business and delivery of role.
  • An accounting or finance degree-level qualification is preferred but not essential.
