About the Role

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Petstock team as a Sales Assistant. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring our customers have a memorable shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on pet care and products to customers, inspiring and educating them on the best options for their pets.
  • Process sales transactions efficiently and effectively, aiming to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Contribute to maintaining a visually appealing store environment, ensuring all products are displayed and stocked correctly.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and services, sharing this expertise with colleagues and customers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive store culture, where everyone feels valued and motivated.
  • Embody a strong safety mindset, promoting a culture of safety within the team.

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine passion for animals and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Previous experience in a similar retail environment, preferably in pet care or a related field.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Physical fitness, with the ability to lift products up to 20kg.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays, as required.
