Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Competency Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall training function of NRW Civil & Mining and Action Drill & Blast entities.

  • Oversee the training function across all locations and project sites.
  • Ensure high levels of training compliance across our sites.
  • Support internal and external investigations and audits as required.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of all training systems, documents and content.
  • Oversee the design, development and delivery of successful training programs.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams and clients to ensure compliance and implementation of training process.
  • Undertake training audits to ensure training and assessment practices meet national and client standards.
  • Monitor training delivery quality, implement corrective actions and undertake proactive continuous improvement activities.
  • Day-to-day management, development, and mentorship of training superintendents, supervisors and corporate training team.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or tertiary qualification - minimum Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role with strong leadership ability.
  • Experience managing RTO accreditation.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with genuine ability to influence at multiple management levels.
  • Desirable: experience working within the Civil and Mining sectors.
  • Ability to travel to site and other entity locations.
