The successful candidate will have extensive experience in cloud and/or lakehouse design, with a strong focus on secure data and analytics architectures. You will work closely with our DevOps, Data Engineering, and Security teams to ensure optimal build and integration of the data layer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document solutions for a data lakehouse on Snowflake, using Alation for data governance and connecting to Power BI and Workato.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal build and integration of the data layer.
  • Track costs and performance, and optimize designs for cost efficiency and performance.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud and data technologies and best practices.
  • Future-proof designs to meet evolving business requirements and incorporate new technologies.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud and/or lakehouse design in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong experience with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Familiarity with data management tools (Alation) and integration platforms (Workato).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of security principles in cloud environments.
  • Understanding of Australian Government ICT Security policies or equivalent Industry best practices.
What We Offer

Hudson Australia offers a competitive hourly rate, with rates from $140.00 per hour inclusive of superannuation and casual loading, dependent on skills and experience. We also offer a hybrid work arrangement with some interstate travel requirements.

Australian Citizens preferably holding a Baseline Clearance are encouraged to apply. Locations include Adelaide SA, Canberra ACT, Melbourne VIC, Sydney NSW, and Brisbane QLD.
