Job Description

The Project Detailer will play a crucial role in managing project activities, including detailing, site measurement, shop drawings, producing production engineering sheets, and supervising installation works. This role involves close collaboration with the sales department, clients, and site supervisors to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the sales department to schedule new project/site measures for approved projects/contracts.
    • Attend construction sites to perform site assessments and opening measures, ensuring clear access and readiness for installation.
  • Engineering and Documentation:
    • Produce detailed engineering sketches of site access and measurements according to project requirements.
    • Perform engineering tasks and produce production/engineering sheets for roller shutter products in line with company standards.
    • Assist in providing workshop drawings and ensure that site assessments meet the required scope of supply and installation as clarified with the customer.
    • Document critical discussions with customers and send minutes for confirmation of agreed outcomes.
  • Client and Site Liaison:
    • Liaise with client's site supervisors and build relationships with builders to facilitate installation.
    • Provide informed and accurate technical advice to potential customers regarding the company's products, using this as a means to differentiate the company on a technical and customer service level.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance:
    • Assess site access requirements, terrain, and required access equipment to ensure the installation job is completed safely.
    • Monitor project execution to ensure safety, quality, and cost efficiency are maintained.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Work closely with scheduling and planning to coordinate the issuance of production engineering sheets and installation schedules.
    • Assist with the preparation of paperwork to initiate the raising of invoices for completed projects.
  • Customer Guidance:
    • Guide customers through the decision-making journey, helping them discover new sources of value creation which the company may capitalize on.
Qualifications:
  • Strong background in engineering and project management.
  • Excellent technical drawing and site measurement skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and site supervisors.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality assurance.
  • Ability to provide accurate technical advice and differentiate the company on technical and customer service levels.
