We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Legal Advocate to join our team.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, trauma-informed legal advice and support to socially disadvantaged clients who have experienced family and domestic violence.
This role involves working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to meet the complex needs of clients. You will be responsible for conducting effective legal practices, managing casework, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- To engage effectively with courts, agencies, and colleagues through clear communication.
- To use technology efficiently and think analytically to solve problems.
- To thrive in collaborative environments and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- To possess strong planning and prioritisation skills to manage competing demands.
- To be able to adapt, stay organised, and contribute to a supportive team.
The successful candidate will be committed to creating a culturally safe and inclusive organisation and workplace for everyone.
Essential Requirements- To be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW.
- To hold a current NSW Practising Certificate.
- To be willing to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- To hold Australian or NZ citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency.
- To be able to travel regularly, including to regional and remote areas.
