Project Support Officer APS6

As a core member of the HR Transformation Team, you will collaborate with cross-functional groups and stakeholders across Defence to deliver projects that embed a One Defence People System.

You will assist in project delivery by:

  • Conducting current state assessments
  • Supporting operating model development
  • Contributing to change impact analysis, implementation planning, and tailored implementation activities

The scope of this role will vary from supporting the preparedness and delivery of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program to enabling the reform of the Defence People System Functions.

You will engage with a range of stakeholders and be required to identify, anticipate, and respond to their needs to achieve Branch and Defence outcomes.

The Team provides a program overview of these activities to ensure prioritisation, sequencing, alignment, and resourcing are appropriately managed.

The Team supports three strategic Defence priorities:

  • Defence Strategic Review (DSR)
  • One Defence People System
  • Defence 2022-26 Corporate Plan

  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid project management and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and enjoying collaboration and critical thinking to solve problems
