Data Engineer Role

Are you a skilled data professional looking for a challenging opportunity? This Senior Data Engineer role is designed for individuals who can design, develop and continuously improve large-scale data infrastructure.

  • This critical technical leader position oversees complex data systems, including both Microsoft and Google database environments, to ensure operational excellence, data integrity and strategic alignment.
  • The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and implement robust, scalable ETL pipelines to transform dashboards into predictive, AI-enabled tools that drive commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical ownership and continuous improvement of key range, space and pricing tools, including driving methodology changes, bug fixes and delivering enhancements.
  • Optimise tool performance and provide best practice guidance on foundational data architecture.
  • Design, develop and optimise robust ETL pipelines, integrating multiple complex data sources to ensure a single source of truth for decision-making metrics.
  • Act as the custodian for our GCP usage and charges, ensuring cost-effectiveness as new capabilities are built and older ones are deprecated.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data engineering (minimum 5 years) with a strong focus on building and maintaining large-scale data platforms.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL, Python and data pipeline technologies.
  • Extensive experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance and data quality best practices.
