Job Title: Clinical Healthcare Professional

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming and interviewing potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation
  • Providing clinical guidance and support to other team members during the blood collection process
  • Conducting routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests to ensure donor safety
  • Safely preparing equipment and machines for use
  • Carefully inserting and removing needles to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Responding to any adverse donor reactions by providing clear instructions and physical assistance as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records of donor data and monitoring post-donation activities

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a passion for working in a healthcare setting are essential.

Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration. Additionally, you must be able to lift up to 22.7kgs, stand for extended periods, and safely navigate uneven terrain.
