Operations Manager

This is a chance to lead the team in delivering statutory and educational services, achieving compliance and excellent customer service, and promoting good social behaviour.
We are looking for someone with a Diploma in law, public policy, compliance or other related fields or extensive experience in a regulatory environment.
The ideal candidate will have high level animal management experience with a clear understanding of animal welfare approaches. They must also be able to interpret, adhere to, follow, and regulate relevant legislation and policies.
Solid knowledge of Local Government and the functions of Regulatory Services is essential. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to liaise with people and manage business correspondence.
Developing procedures for the effective implementation of policy in a regulatory environment is crucial. Experience working in a cross-cultural environment, especially with Indigenous communities, is desirable.
A positive attitude and commitment to deliver quality customer service is required. Willingness to attend weekend work, emergencies and out-of-hour duties as rostered or as required.
A clear understanding of Work, Health and Safety practices and policies is necessary.
