We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Plant Shut Maintenance team at Rio Tinto's Dampier Ports Operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced trade professional to contribute to the maintenance of our port facilities and ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain infrastructure by repairing and overhauling fixed plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets and determine repair action when required, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
- Utilize SAP to record, assign, and complete maintenance tasks, streamlining our workflow and improving productivity.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant Australian recognized trade certification as a Mechanical Fitter.
- A manual C-class Australian-issued driver's license (minimum).
- Rigging/dogman, forklift, and EWP experience (preferred).
- Fault finding knowledge of hydraulic circuits and general fabrication and welding skills.
- A basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar.
You will be a skilled trade professional with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working at heights. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work independently will enable you to effectively collaborate with our team and provide exceptional results.
What We Offer- A competitive rate of $75 per hour, with 12.5-hour shifts and weekly pay.
