Electrical Engineer Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on a diverse range of multi-disciplinary projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 3-7 years of experience as an engineer in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, review, and mark up technical drawings for heavy industry electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Provide construction and commissioning support, including preparing project documentation and conducting site investigations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain project documentation, including reports and design specifications.
  • Lead and motivate teams, overseeing and coordinating the work of junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Conduct early-stage studies for electrical and instrumentation systems, including proficiency in electrical system calculations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience as an engineer in Australia.
  • Experience in heavy industry electrical and instrumentation design, including reviewing and marking up technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required for this position, with good communication skills essential for regular client interaction.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and regulations.
  • Expertise in the design and specification of electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas.
  • Experience conducting HAZOP workshops and developing functional safety lifecycle documents.
