Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Role

Overview of the Job

This position is available at our dealership in Wacol, where you will work on various heavy commercial vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and repair mechanical issues with these vehicles.

You will work closely with other professionals in the workshop, including auto-electricians, trades assistants, and apprentices. The team is supportive and collaborative, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair steering and suspension systems
  • Identify and fix electrical faults
  • Repair braking systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance services
  • Carry out offsite and breakdown repairs

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Heavy Commercial Vehicle mechanical qualification or Light Vehicle mechanical qualification. You should also have solid experience working with truck or light vehicle brands. Some exposure to light auto-electrical work is beneficial.
