Heavy Vehicle Repair Specialist

  • This position involves conducting routine maintenance and repairs on heavy military vehicles.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining Light, Medium, and Heavy vehicles.
About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification.
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts.
  • Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs.
  • Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
  • Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates.
About You

Requirements:

  • Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level.
  • Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experience.
  • Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair, and maintain Light, Medium, and Heavy vehicles.
  • Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
