About the Job

The Operations Support team is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary unit delivering essential services to meet evolving business needs. As an Aviation Adviser, you'll serve as a subject matter expert, supporting safe, compliant, and efficient aviation operations across our Australian assets. You'll provide technical leadership, assurance, and strategic input across rotary and fixed-wing operations, focusing on offshore helicopter activities. This role suits a seasoned aviation professional with deep technical expertise and a passion for safety, standards, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Champion our safety culture in aviation operations.
  • Ensure our aviation and travel-related risks have appropriate controls in place.
  • Lead and document aviation audits, ensuring timely closure of actions.
  • Serve as SME in aviation event reviews and incident investigations.
  • Manage Technical Integrity changes and deviations relevant to aviation according to our Integrity Management Standard.
  • Provide after-hours technical support and participate in the Incident Management Team.
  • Maintain and update our Aviation standards and guidelines.
  • Advise on the application of aviation industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in aircraft operator tendering and approve acceptable operators.
  • Monitor aviation service provider performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Engage in Aviation and Drone Communities of Practice and internal stakeholder forums.
  • Represent us with external stakeholders, including aviation service providers, regulators, and OEMs as required.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of rotary wing aircraft performance and operations; fixed-wing experience is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of offshore helicopter operations and relevant regulations.
  • Lead auditor experience with Quality auditing standards (ISO 9001, AS 9100).
  • Proficiency in Aviation Safety Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated success in managing external stakeholders.
  • Technical competence with aviation-related digital systems.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in aviation, focusing on offshore oil and gas environments.
  • Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence (CPL(H)) or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL(H)).
