Job Opportunity: Orthopaedic Surgery Trainee

The Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the position of an Orthopaedic Surgery Trainee. This is a dedicated 12-month role within the Orthopaedic unit, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely assess and manage common orthopaedic emergencies and presentations
  • Work in a well-supervised and supportive environment under the guidance of consultants and accredited trainees
  • Participate in after-hours on-call duties and rotation to Canterbury Hospital for 6 months

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications and experience commensurate with the essential requirements for the role
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment
  • Excellent clinical skills, judgement, and expertise
  • Able to communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
