Visual Arts Teacher Position

We are seeking a skilled Visual Arts educator to join our organization on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to work collaboratively with classroom teachers.

  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing engaging and empowering learning experiences in Visual Arts that align with contemporary educational practice.
  • A strong understanding of curriculum development and implementation is essential for this role.
  • The successful applicant will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a commitment to collaborative practice.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Visual Arts teacher will also contribute to the school community by participating in professional development opportunities and contributing to the planning of arts-based events.

The position involves working three days a week, with flexibility on the days. We offer a supportive and inclusive environment that prioritizes the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • a Master's degree in Visual Arts or Education
  • significant experience in teaching Visual Arts at a secondary level
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • a commitment to ongoing professional development
