Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, strong financial controls, and compliance with all regulatory obligations.
  • Develop and implement annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the production of timely and accurate monthly management reports, informing business performance and facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a high-performing finance team, enhancing capability and engagement while serving as a technical authority on complex financial matters.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organization to integrate finance into strategic planning and operational execution, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Coordinate income tax returns, FBT, and BAS processes, as well as capital management including group funding activities and financial risk management.
  • Manage core finance operations, identifying opportunities for process enhancement and team development.

Requirements:

  • CA qualification with 10+ years proven financial reporting experience, including in a controllership position.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise in Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Experience in Big 4 firm highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in an ASX listed environment with preference for financial services.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
