About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Cultural Heritage Specialist at Sunwater. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our iconic Paradise Dam Improvement project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice to Project Directors/Managers and alliance leadership to ensure Sunwater is delivering on its cultural heritage obligations and responsibilities.
  • Support the project, including owners and alliance teams, to identify key issues, risks and opportunities for engagement with Traditional Owners on matters of native title and cultural heritage.
  • Support inclusive and culturally appropriate engagement with Traditional Owner groups and relevant representative and community organisations.
Requirements
  • Native title expertise: Experience with engagement and management of Native Title and Cultural Heritage matters, co-ordinating cultural heritage negotiations and cultural heritage survey assessments.
  • Strategic vision: Participate in the development and implementation of terms as agreed with the relevant parties in the cultural heritage management plans/agreements.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership.
