Family Coach

We are seeking a Family Coach to support families in their aspirations, strengthen their capacity, and connect them with resources and services.

This role involves partnering with families to navigate the early years ecosystem, build confidence, and foster relationships that promote child development and family wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing one-on-one coaching to parents to help them set and achieve goals
  • Linking families with community resources and services
  • Supporting families to engage confidently with early childhood education, health and social services
  • Facilitating small groups and playgroups to encourage social connections and shared learning
  • Building strong relationships with local community groups and service providers
About the Role:

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of families and children in your community. As a Family Coach, you will be working closely with families to identify their strengths and challenges, and developing tailored plans to support their needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Work, Early Childhood Development or a related field
  • Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds, including refugee and migrant communities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with families, communities, and service providers
  • Experience facilitating group programs, workshops, or play-based learning activities
  • Commitment to child safety, equity, inclusion, and cultural safety
