Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Group Financial Accountant to join our External Reporting and Advice team.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing the monthly, half-yearly and year-end Group consolidation items.

You will work closely with key stakeholders across segments, treasury, tax and financial planning and analysis teams.

This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and execute the monthly, half-yearly and year-end Group consolidation items.
  2. Work closely with key stakeholders across segments, treasury, tax and financial planning and analysis teams.
  3. Support the External Reporting and Technical Accounting sub-teams.
Requirements
  1. A degree in a business-related discipline, with specific finance and accounting emphasis.
  2. Accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent, with 2-5 years post-qualification experience.
  3. Interest in statutory accounting and eagerness to learn and develop technical knowledge.
  4. The ability to grasp complex issues and communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  5. A strong analytical mindset with a meticulous eye for detail, whilst still being able to see the longer strategic vision for the Group.
  6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of flexibility to engage other teams to provide data as required.
  7. A good understanding of and experience in working with Hyperion Financial Reporting/MFR is beneficial.
