About the Job

The Youth Employment Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality person-centered services to young individuals. This position involves conducting thorough assessments, setting clear goals, and providing ongoing support to stabilize non-vocational issues, enhance vocational skills, and promote sustainable employment or education pathways.

This full-time role is based at our Enfield site, where you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including employers, staff, and young people, to achieve outstanding results.

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build effective relationships with culturally diverse groups and demonstrate strong industry knowledge.
  • Proven assessment, case management, and motivational skills are essential for this role.
  • You must be able to negotiate customized job placements for participants with barriers to employment.
  • Able to develop positive relationships with all stakeholders and demonstrate strong task and time management skills.
  • A current driver's license and Working with Children's Check are also required.
  • A minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development is preferred, along with demonstrated experience supporting young people into work and education.
