About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team at mod. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for shaping and owning the narrative of what comes next in video games.

Your primary focus will be on leading external communications for mod, setting and delivering the earned media strategy, and creating the language we use to communicate with our audience.

  • Develop and execute campaigns to achieve meaningful press coverage across key B2B and B2C video games media.
  • Collaborate across product teams to interpret, celebrate, and communicate their stories, which benefit mod's value proposition to the wider gaming community.
  • Build mod's profile with key B2B and B2C press contacts.
  • Work with game publishers and studios who are integrating mod into their games, to share their stories.

Requirements

We are looking for a humble, enthusiastic, self-starter who takes ownership over what they create and will help us shape and improve the company. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of video games and the business of video games.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Public Relations or Communications, ideally with experience in middleware and/or game publishing.
  • Strong media relationships across key markets, particularly in North America and Europe.
