Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Retail Florist Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing fresh flowers and related products from suppliers, negotiating pricing and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase fresh flowers and related products from suppliers\
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement\
  • Monitor market trends and customer preferences to forecast demand\
  • Manage stock levels, rotate inventory, and reduce wastage\
  • Maintain supplier relationships and visit markets regularly\
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and preferences\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments\
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies and initiatives\
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives\
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives\
  • Undertake other duties as required\
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in the floral or retail sectors\
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills\
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team\
  • Passion for flowers and seasonal trends\
  • Ability to work early mornings (especially during market days)\
  • Good knowledge of flower varieties and their uses\
  • Understanding of customer behavior and market trends\
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems\
  • Proficiency in English language
