We are seeking a professional to assist in the development and execution of profitable grain trading strategies aligned with our annual goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills. They will be responsible for administering grain purchase and sale contracts, entering contract related data into our commodity trading systems, and producing reports on daily trading activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective trading strategies aligned with our annual goals.
  • Administer grain purchase and sale contracts and enter all contract related data into our commodity trading systems.
  • Produce and maintain reports on daily trading activities, including contract costs, income estimates, and risk management.
  • Liaise with commodity desks and other teams to build effective networks and ensure smooth communication.
  • Review and monitor risks associated with trading and execution activities.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Economics, Finance, or numeric related discipline.
  • Strong desire to start a career in agricultural commodity trading.
  • Exposure to administration or support functions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative analytical skills with the ability to manage data.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
