As a Security Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering all aspects of security risk management and implementation in accordance with the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), the Defence Industry Security Office (DISO) and Company policy requirements.
You will be responsible for contributing to the Security Function as a senior security team member in supervising all aspects of operational security for the business area in line with local security strategy, policies, standards and best practice.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and management skills, with experience in security and or a Defence Industry role, including sound knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), and the ability to inform and understand Company policy and procedures.
About the OpportunitiesWe currently have several opportunities for Security Leads-based at our Flinders Street Offices, SA with occasional local and national travel for business purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Security Processes: Develop and implement security processes guidelines in support of Policy and Standards requirements.
- Operational Security: Supervise all aspects of operational security for the business area in line with local security strategy, policies, standards and best practice.
- Security Risk Management: Manage security risk assessments and mitigation strategies in line with Company standards and policy, as well as coordinating with Defence contractor owners as needed.
- Team Leadership: Manage, develop and support a team of Security professionals.
- Australian Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 Defence Security & ITAR clearance required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Experience in security and or a Defence Industry role.
- Demonstrated experience in relation to the implementation of security policy and process.

ClearancesAs a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
Professional Requirements:
- Able to demonstrate understanding and experience in relation to the implementation of security policy and process.
- Sound knowledge of Cyber Security Policy and standards.
- Sound knowledge of Physical, Personnel and Information Security.
- Must hold or be able to gain a current Department of Defence Certificate in Security Officer Training.
